Travis

New

Travis

Travis is accepting applications for his forever loving home! He is an adorable approximately 2 and a half year old 9 pound, green-eyed, chocolate miniature Pinscher. Is a very playful little boy but also just adores lap time with his favorite humans. Travis gets along extremely well with his little Schnauzer/Terrier mix foster sister, Daisy; however, he is very selective so being an only child may work out just fine for Travis! When he finds another dog he likes he is very playful. Travis is very talkative and so much fun! Travis started out emaciated but has gained his weight back. The veterinarian said his muscle tone was very good so he stayed healthy in spite of being so thin. Travis needs an adult only home. He is protective (fear based). Foster mom and dad are working with him on this (with the help of a trainer). Travis also picks one owner so a one owner home would probably be best for Travis; he may do well with a dog savvy couple willing to continue training and working on his fear behaviors. Positive reinforcement gentle training will be required. Continued gentle training is strongly suggested to help him overcome his behavior. Travis is a very lovable boy and will be a very loyal companion. He is very expressive and will just squeal in delight when he sees his favorite people. It may take Travis a while to warm up because of his rough start in life but once he bonds he will love you with his whole heart! He does very well going potty outside in his foster home; however, he may need to learn the routine in a new home. Travis is current on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. Just a note: Travis does not like to have his picture taken!

Hank

Adopted

Hank

Handsome Hank is a Dachshund/possible Beagle mix; he is approximately 2 to 3 years old and will be current on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped prior to going to his forever home. He is potty trained and scratches at the door to be let outside to go potty. Hank was rescued on the University of the Pacific campus where he had been seen wondering for several weeks until he finally trusted someone and came to them. They searched for his lost family to no avail. He does not have a microchip and is unneutered. Hank is shy, gentle and affectionate; he is well-mannered and is a lap dog. Hank is a couch potato; he is a sweet boy that enjoys laps. He loves being with his person and is as cute as a button, so will need his own person and a calm environment. Hank will be a wonderful companion.

Kennedy

Kennedy

Kennedy is a gorgeous purebred young male German Shepherd, approximately 1 to 2 years old, mostly short hair. He is very sweet and loving, gets along with other dogs, not good with cats, don't know about kids, but most likely would be great with them, especially older kids. He was found in the country, probably dumped. He came to the recuer's house because he heard the dogs and wanted to be with them. Kennedy is scheduled to be neutered, will be current on vaccinations and microchipped. He was very thin, but has been eating well and appears to be otherwise very healthy. He will be a great companion, hiking or running buddy. He needs a forever home where he can give and receive love, and will also make an excellent watch dog and family companion.

Poppy

Poppy

Poppy is about a year old pretty Shepherd mix, weighing about 55 pounds. She has had her shots and been spayed and microchipped. She is very sweet and friendly with everyone she has met. She rides quietly and well in the back of the car. She knows "Sit." She is a strong dog and she would benefit from obedience training. Not great with cats. She is a good watch dog but does not bark excessively. She is protective and loyal to her person and wants to please. She likes to fetch a ball and usually brings it back. She is a real sweetheart. She appears to be house broken and she keeps her living areas clean. She is at a boarding facility, which is not an ideal situation for a young dog so if you have can foster her or adopt her please contact us.

Cami

Cami

The gorgeous little Cami is a very sweet approximately 1 to 1 and a half year old, 6 pound female Chihuahua. Possibly mixed with Chinese Crested. With her light tan/white coat and red eyelashes she is a stunning beauty. Cami needs an adult only or older/mature child calm and gentle home. A young retired person/couple would suit Cami just fine. She is a very quiet, calm and mellow natured girl. Her shyness causes her to be a bit slow to warm up but she is receptive immediately. Cami likes both men and women and she is good with other calm dogs. Found as a stray, Cami came covered in tar and motor oil and with some sort of trauma to her neck in the trachea area but thankfully she will heal and the x-rays show there will be no lasting damage. Cami is playful and likes squeaky toys. She has been spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed and microchipped and will be a wonderful companion.

Peekaboo

Peekaboo

Peekaboo is a 6 year old Miniature Pinscher and Dachshund mix. After a year with her foster family, she has really blossomed. She is an affectionate little dog that will come up to someone, sitting at their feet, waiting for them to notice her, to pet her and hopefully pick her up to hold her. When she does get picked up, she'll gently lick a chin, cheek or nose, happy to have the attention that is given to her. She loves to spend time with people she knows, relaxing with them on the couch wherever she can fit herself (on the back of the couch, on a free lap, or at least nestled close). If the couch isn't available, she'll curl up on the nearest dog bed or chair. She does very well with other dogs and will play if they approach her first. She is a food hound and will do anything for a treat. She is mostly quiet, but will bark when someone comes to the door or when the other dogs start to play. She is house-trained, current on vaccinations and microchipped. Professional photography compliments of Gluskins on the Miracle Mile in Stockton, CA.

Ramseyi

Ramsey

Ramsey is such an adorable 3 and a half year old, 12 to 14 pound Dachshund/Min-Pin mix; he is neutered, current on his vaccinations and has been de-wormed and microchipped. He is such a sweet boy and is a playful dog, has a really good personality. He is house-trained and is a housedog. Ramsey used to enjoy being held and cuddled but we think someone dropped him and now he is nervous about being picked up or held. He gets along great with other dogs and should have a canine playmate. He is fine with cats. He rides well in the car, enjoys going bye, bye and absolutely loves going for daily walks (well, he used to love walks but something happened during a brief adoption and he has been afraid ever since). He is a great little dog and will need to be in a home with calm adults; he is nervous when around younger kids. Ramsey is a dog that you will need to visit with a few times before taking him home; he will be a challenge but is so worth it. It’s a great feeling to save a needy shelter dog and turn them into wonderful companions. He really is a great little dog.
