Karlie

New

Karlie

Karlie is a 1 year old Brussels Griffon/Terrier mix, and only weighs 9 pounds. She was pulled from a city shelter and came to us very underweight. She is a very sweet girl with huge big brown eyes that look like they have brown eye liner drawn around them. She has an exotic look to her eyes, like Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra, in her striking beautiful face. Her eyes are unusually expressive, so full of love and hope now she is in a foster home. When her foster took her home, she didn't know how to snuggle or how to play with toys. Yet this very affectionate girl is so happy to be inside a home, and have a family to give her love and she gives so much in return. She sleeps in bed with her foster family, and now enjoys taking naps, and will just hang out with her foster dad on the couch. She is also learning how to play with toys, and it was fun to see her dump out the entire toy basket to begin exploring. She is fine with other dogs and is submissive. Foster does not have cats, but we believe she would be fine with cats as she is not at all aggressive. She is most interested in bonding with humans and absolutely loves hanging out with people, and would do fine as an only dog or in a home with other pets. She is also learning commands "Sit" and "Lay Down." She is not yet leash-trained but is being introduced and is both treat and praise motivated. She is good in the car when being held, but not a fan of being crated in the car. She is using the potty pads inside, and going potty outside and is doing good on potty training. She is current on her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, de-wormed and Frontlined. This adorable girl will make a wonderful companion, she has so much love to share! Photography compliments of Gluskins on the Miracle Mile in Stockton, CA.

Jaxi

Jax

Jax is a striking and handsome Pomeranian/JRT mix about 3 and a half years old and weighing 16 pounds. He is current on his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, de-wormed and Frontlined. He is a sweet, loving, gentle and affectionate boy. He really loves going for walks and that is the highlight of his day; he also rides well in the car. He is playful, likes to play with squeaky toys and loves to fetch the ball. Enjoys being cuddled and held and is a lap dog. He especially loves his daily carrots for treats. He seems fine with cats and is good with other dogs. Jax is super friendly although sometimes little shy at first. He uses potty pads and will go outside to potty when let outside. Jax seems to do better with older kids and like girls best. He just wants to please his people. Jax will be a wonderful companion. Rufus

Rufus

Rufus (aka Roofy) is a darling 4 year old Chihuahua mix; he weighs 14 pounds, is current on his vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped. His family's health has declined and they are unable to care for Gizmo or Rufus. He is an inside dog and will ask you to let him go outside to potty. He will "Sit," "Stay" and "Come" when asked to. Rufus is shy, affectionate and well-mannered. Gets along with children and is good with other dogs and cats; he also rides well in the car. JoJo

JoJo

JoJo is a pretty 1 to 1 and a half year old Shepherd mix; she was rescued from the Stockton shelter. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations and has been microchipped. JoJo is an energetic girl that loves to run and play, she is ALWAYS ready for a walk. She needs some work on the leash, but the foster home is working on it daily; she is very leash friendly. She gets along great with other dogs, she just wants to sniff them out and then run and play like crazy. JoJo is house-trained to a dog door. She loves to chase cats; she has yet to harm my cats but she just scares them to death, so best to have a non-cat home. JoJo just wants to be a best friend to an active family. She seems fine with kids and she loves attention and loves to sit and cuddle like a baby. She loves her bones and her chew toys, her bed and blanky (that will adopt with her) and a really good belly rub. She has no sign of food aggression towards the family.

JoJo is working hard on not chewing anything but her toys and her bones but like any pup she needs reminders. She is great in the car, knows a few commands and they are working daily to teach her as much as they can. She has a bit of separation anxiety (she will chew and try to get out of the yard). They are working on crate-training when they have to leave her alone. JoJo has been great as a watch dog; she barks for a purpose, not just because the dogs next door are barking or because the fire trucks are out but because she actually hears or sees something. She will be an awesome companion. Photography compliments of Gluskins on the Miracle Mile in Stockton, CA.

Nelson

Nelson

Nelson is an adorable little JRT mix; he is approximately 3 years old. He has been neutered, is current on all vaccinations and has been microchipped. Nelson is a good-natured, lovable 10 to 12 pound little guy, he gets along very well with other dogs. His main goal at his foster home is outsmarting his foster mom with his determination to sleep on her bed - foster mom prefers to sleep alone. Nelson enjoys eating; if you have other dogs and they leave any food he will finish it for them. Nelson would be a great dog for an active home wanting to get involved in doggie sports. He is smart and would learn what you wanted quickly although he does have a mind of his own. He will sleep in a dog bed if he can't find an armchair or - still better - a lap. Nelson is potty trained to a doggy door. He is a good watch dog and will bark if he hears noises and alert you to comings and goings. He is a little shy of new people, but soon has become your new best friend. He is a loving, loyal little guy and will be a wonderful little companion.

iReese

Reese

Reese is a 13 week old JRT/Chi mix; his mother is a Jack Russell Terrier and dad is an apple-head Chihuahua. Reese is current on his vaccinations and is de-wormed, Frontlined and microchipped; he will also be neutered. He is outside during the day and sleeps inside in a crate at night. He would love a home where he will be a house dog with outside play and potty privileges and that is a requirement. Reese is gentle and affectionate, lovable and playful, he is also a sweet puppy. He is has only been around teenagers, other dogs and cats. Reese rode well in the car and will be a good little companion. Photography compliments of Gluskins on the Miracle Mile in Stockton, CA.

Ramseyi

Ramsey

Ramsey is such an adorable 3 and a half year old, 12 to 14 pound Dachshund/Min-Pin mix; he is neutered, current on his vaccinations and has been de-wormed and microchipped. He is such a sweet boy and is a playful dog, has a really good personality. He is house-trained and is a housedog. Ramsey used to enjoy being held and cuddled but we think someone dropped him and now he is nervous about being picked up or held. He gets along great with other dogs and should have a canine playmate. He is fine with cats. He rides well in the car, enjoys going bye, bye and absolutely loves going for daily walks (well, he used to love walks but something happened during a brief adoption and he has been afraid ever since). He is a great little dog and will need to be in a home with calm adults; he is nervous when around younger kids. Ramsey is a dog that you will need to visit with a few times before taking him home; he will be a challenge but is so worth it. It’s a great feeling to save a needy shelter dog and turn them into wonderful companions. He really is a great little dog.
