Teddy-Bear is a handsome (we think) Rottweiler/Chow/Bassett mix; he is approximately 5 years old. He was rescued out in the country very thin and now weighs 36 pounds. He seems to be house-trained as he sleeps inside the house at night and has not once gone potty. He is slightly possessive of his food and treats. Teddy-Bear is friendly, gentle, affectionate and is a sweet, playful dog. He loves kids and rides well in the car. He is fine with other dogs. Teddy-Bear is just adorable, he is also a good watch dog and will make a wonderful, loving companion. Office1/29/2012 |

Hans is a 7 to 8 year old Dachshund. He was found under-nourished running the streets. No one claimed him. Hans is current on his vaccinations, scheduled to be neutered and has been de-wormed and microchipped. He slept on his rescuer's bed and got along with their dogs. He is gentle, affectionate, well-mannered and playful. Hans does not like cats and he would do best in a home with older adults although he is fine with children. Hans will be a loving family member. Dylan is a handsome Scottish Terrier/Lhasa Apso mix. He is 4 years old, current on his vaccinations and has been neutered and microchipped. Dylan wasn't doing well with the new baby in the home and would do best in an adult home or one without many visitors. He is living at the sanctuary and has done very well. He is house-trained and is a house dog. He freely gives his kisses and likes to be held and cuddled. He is loving and affectionate to his family but does not enjoy new people coming into his home. He loves most women and does well with some men. Dylan rides well in the car, loves going for walks, enjoys playing with some other small dogs (females would be best). He will make a wonderful loving companion, especially if you are willing to take him through obedience training. He requires regular professional grooming. Office 8/27/2011 |

Saylor is a cute approximately two year old Jack Russell/ Chihuahua mix; she is trained to use a doggie door and seems to be house-trained. She will be made current on her vaccinations and spayed before going to a home. Saylor knows how to sit and come. She was rescued in horrific condition and is finally growing some of her fur back. With time and the good diet she is now receiving she will soon have shiny, beautiful fur. She gets along with other dogs and is sweet, loving and affectionate. She is learning to trust humans again. Elliot is a darling 1 and a half year old long-legged Border Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier mix; he weighs around 18 pounds and is current on his vaccinations, neutered and is micro-chipped and de-wormed. He is an inside dog with outside potty privileges and is fully house-trained. Elliot is nervous around new people and situations (especially men) but once he gets to know you you're his best friend. His favorite person is a young man that is 13 years old. Elliot loves the volunteers (after they've spent a few days with him); he is great with all the employees at the sanctuary and readily gives them hugs and kisses. He is sweet, loving and affectionate. Elliot loves going for rides in the car and enjoys going for long walks on leash; he knows how to sit, stay and come when called. He likes kids ages 9 years on up, is good with other dogs and cats and loves to play. His best friend at the sanctuary is Ramsey. Office 01/09/2011 |
