Astro

Adopted

Astro

Astro is a handsome 4 month old Sheltie/Collie mix; he is current on his vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped. He loves to play ball and gives hugs and kisses. He is a wonderful, affectionate little dog. Astro is almost potty trained and he gets along with other dogs. He has adorable little ears one day they are up, the next they are down. On another day ones up and the other down then they switch. We say we can tell what kind of mood he will be in that day by which way his ears are going. He should have a home with another dog; Astro will be a great little companion.

Ace

Ace

Ace is an 18 pound neutered Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, who was found on the mean streets of Modesto, with no one claiming him. He is full of personality and bonds closely with his humans. He was first with a family with children and he loved them (aged 7 and 12). He is spunky and affectionate, though he did not like the vet shots etc. He is about three years old and plays with all the dogs at the foster home.

Bruno

Bruno

Bruno is a big, handsome 2 year old Rottweiler mix; he is current on his vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped before going to a new family. Bruno weighs 126 pounds. He has only lived outside but would love to be in the house and part of the family. Bruno loves people, he is easy going and friendly with kids. In his current home he plays with a 7 year old girl and a 14 year old boy. He has never been around other animals so we don't know how he will do. Bruno is a big, friendly boy; it's not that he is hyper he is just big and the family does not have time for him. He spends a lot of time alone in the backyard so when he sees his family he gets excited and playful. He would be a wonderful companion for a family that has time for him and will make him a family member.

Bourke

Bourke

Bourke is looking for a very special forever home. He came to Walnut Street in Stockton at the end of the summer, but no one knew from where. One story is that he lived on a derelict barge that floated in the canal for months until it was abandoned and removed. Another story is that he belonged to an older couple that died and the dog was abandoned. The only thing known for sure is that he found many new friends on Walnut Street where he played all day and guarded Walnut Street all night. He had his meals at several different homes and got to know most of the neighbors and their pets. He is a playful and intelligent "homeless survivor" that has touched our hearts. Bourke is shy and becoming socialized because of his experiences as a homeless dog. Bourke is an intelligent, 8 to 12 month old Terrier mix and he weighs 16 pounds. He is neutered, current on his shots and will be microchipped. Bourke has escaped many dangerous situations because he is able to squeeze through very small spaces. He needs a securely fenced yard and basic obedience training. He protected the neighborhood from strangers. He chases skateboards or bicycles. We assume that he started life in a family setting because he is responding to his foster family home. He wags his tail and is quick to make friends with small neighborhood dogs but has been known to chase cats. It is unknown if he is house broken; we hope to move him to a foster home where he can be inside soon or find a family to adopt him and make him a house dog. He loves toys, chew bones and rope pulls. Neighbors have spent hours enjoying his playful antics. He needs love, patience and a gentle hand.
