Ellie

New

Ellie

Ellie is an adorable little Poodle. She is 1 to 1 and a half years old and weighs about 7 pounds. Ellie rides well in the car and is leash-trained. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations and has been microchipped. She loves to be picked up and held. Loves other dogs and plays with toys. She loves giving kisses and is loving and affectionate. She is house-trained to a doggie door and potty pads. Being so small a home without young children would be best for her. Ellie still needs a grooming and will be gorgeous once that is done. She will be a wonderful companion.

Roy

Roy

Roy is a 1 year old autistic Terrier mix puppy, weighing about 25 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, and all shots current. He is fearful, but you can do anything to him: he won’t bite or complain. Will tuck himself in to a corner of your house, and only goes with you anywhere and readily, when on leash… He dribbles a little pee when leashing him up, but so what? He is house-trained, and when he needs to go, will whine and yelp. Goes pee and poop on leash. Don’t take him off the leash: you will not get him back. This special boy would be great for a shut-in or a special-needs person. Why? He freezes when you pet him and you can do anything to him so no mean people please. He will not bite. Just keep him on a leash and let your inner dog-whisperer out! He’s good with all animals (generally, he is a dog after all), because all he does all day is lay there in his nest, unmoving. Hoping no one will notice him, I guess. His foster mom lives in Valley Springs and would love a visit from you!

Jazzy

Adopted

Jazzy

Darling Jazzy just turned a year old in July! Someone brought her to us and when we went inside for some paperwork they took off. This sweet girl weighs 15 pounds; her daddy is a purebred Pug, and mama is a Poodle/Terrier mix, making Jazzy a Pug-A-Poo/Terrier. What an adorable little face! She is a mellow girl that is good with other doggies. She is playful and is so cute with toys. She lays on her back and holds her toy in the air over her head with her paws and plays with it. She will bark to greet people but not excessively. She is shy at first but warms up to people quickly and would do best in an adult home. She is gaining confidence now that she is a sanctuary girl and meeting lots of new people. She loves to play with the other dogs and they are helping her with her confidence. She would do best to have a canine playmate. We were able to find out her information by her microchip which led us to the family who had her parents. The son had rehomed her and unfortunately that placement didn’t work out. She is currently spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, de-wormed and Frontlined. She is also scheduled to be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. She will be a wonderful, loving companion.

Annie

Annie

Adorable, precious little Annie is a 4 year old Terrier mix with huge big brown eyes. This little girl is such an easy girl to have around, very sweet, undemanding and completely potty trained. We don’t think she had much care in her previous life, she flinches when foster mom picks up even the smallest remote. Her behavior indicates that someone was abusive towards her in her past, yet she is capable of great love. When she first came to her foster home, her eyes were so incredibly sad and sorrowful, it is such a joy to watch her begin to blossom with love. She prefers to sleep in her own bed on the floor next to foster mom, though she is invited to sleep in the big bed. She loves lounging on the outdoor couch with foster mom. Such a pleasure to see her wagging her tail and beginning to enjoy exploring the world and gaining confidence every day! She is working on her leash-training and loves loves loves going for a walk. She is great in the car and for a shy girl, becomes very outgoing getting out in the car and for her walks. She is not a girl that will jump in your lap and shower you with kisses upon meeting you, but one who will sweetly come for a pet and a love. She jumps onto foster dad’s lap to get her snuggles in, but is not a girl who wants to lounge in a lap for hours on end. She is good with other dogs, but not a playful girl and doesn’t really interact with her foster siblings. Cats are unknown. She would be fine as an only dog as she doesn’t seem to need canine companionship. She is a very mellow laid back girl. Showing a girl like this how to love and be loved is one of the most rewarding experiences. She would love a calm quiet home with someone that she can get out and about with for her walks as she really blossoms when out and about. This reserved girl is not recommended for a home with children, or young grandchildren. She would love someone who has time to spend with her, teaching her how wonderfully kind and loving a human can be. She is learning to trust and love in her foster home and will make someone a wonderful companion. She has been vaccinated, de-wormed, Frontlined, microchipped and spayed. She is ready for her happily ever after!

Chico

Chico

Chico is a 7 month old puppy, born in October. He is a mixed breed pup, and weighs about 27 pounds, so is medium sized. He is neutered, microchipped and all shots are current. He is a sweet, easy going pup that just wants to be loved. He is shy at first until he warms up to you. He has mostly been outside, but would love a home where he can come inside some of the time, too. He has other brothers and sisters, and gets along fine with other dogs. He could use a foster home or a permanent adoptive home.

Margie

Margie

Margie is an adorable possible Dachshund mix. She is 1 and a half years old and 12 pounds. Margie is in charge of the dogs in the house. She is not mean but she reminds her rescuer of Judge Judy! She is taller than the others and that makes her the queen. She loves her treats! She is housebroken and uses a doggie door. She and her foster sisters chase and chase and chase each other then they crash in a heap and sleep together! She is spayed, and will be current on her vaccinations and microchipped. Margie will be a wonderful companion.
