Bandi

New

Bandi

My kisses await you! Bandi is an approximately 1 to 1 and a hal year old Shih Tzu/Terrier mix boy weighing approximately 12 to 14 pounds. He is up for anything you have in store for him! He loves walks and his play time but when the activity settles down he enjoys just hanging out with his family. He is affectionate and extremely well-behaved and calm for a young lad. Bandi appears to have a great personality for training as a therapy dog. He will be a wonderful companion for a family who has time to devote to him and snuggle time to share. This adorable boy just loves people and is great with other dogs and calm cats. Bandi is working on potty training but he is a smart boy and will learn. Bandi will need to be groomed at least around his face every six to eight weeks. Bandi has been vaccinated, de-wormed, Frontlined and microchipped. He will be neutered prior to going to his forever home. Professional photography courtesy of Shot for Shot Photography by Tammy Griffitts.

Lila

New

Lila

Adorable, precious little Lila is a 4 year old Terrier mix with huge big brown eyes. This little girl is such an easy girl to have around, very sweet, undemanding and completely potty trained. We don’t think she had much care in her previous life, she flinches when foster mom picks up even the smallest remote. Her behavior indicates that someone was abusive towards her in her past, yet she is capable of great love. When she first came to her foster home, her eyes were so incredibly sad and sorrowful, it is such a joy to watch her begin to blossom with love. She prefers to sleep in her own bed on the floor next to foster mom, though she is invited to sleep in the big bed. She loves lounging on the outdoor couch with foster mom. Such a pleasure to see her wagging her tail and beginning to enjoy exploring the world and gaining confidence every day! She is working on her leash-training and loves loves loves going for a walk. She is great in the car and for a shy girl, becomes very outgoing getting out in the car and for her walks. She is not a girl that will jump in your lap and shower you with kisses upon meeting you, but one who will sweetly come for a pet and a love. She jumps onto foster dad’s lap to get her snuggles in, but is not a girl who wants to lounge in a lap for hours on end. She is good with other dogs, but not a playful girl and doesn’t really interact with her foster siblings. Cats are unknown. She would be fine as an only dog as she doesn’t seem to need canine companionship. She is a very mellow laid back girl. Showing a girl like this how to love and be loved is one of the most rewarding experiences. She would love a calm quiet home with someone that she can get out and about with for her walks as she really blossoms when out and about. This reserved girl is not recommended for a home with children, or young grandchildren. She would love someone who has time to spend with her, teaching her how wonderfully kind and loving a human can be. She is learning to trust and love in her foster home and will make someone a wonderful companion. She has been vaccinated, de-wormed, Frontlined, microchipped and spayed. She is ready for her happily ever after!

BooBoo loves her carrots; she is starting to collect toys but has not yet played with them, although we feel that is soon coming. She is working on her house-training and using potty pads. She dances back and forth when she wants you to pick her up. She seems to be fine with cats. Good on leash and enjoys her walks. She also rides well in the car. BooBoo loves to give kisses and will jump onto your lap. She will go off on her own but will come and check on you to make sure you are still there; she easily attaches to her person. Good with other dogs but has not started playing. She is watching what is going on and will most likely join in at some point. She is an adorable little girl; no young kids due to her size. Paddington

Paddington

Paddy (Paddington) is a handsome approximately 3 to 4 year old Poodle mix weighing in at 10.8 pounds. He is mostly fur! Paddy is current on his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, Frontlined and de-wormed. He loves his toys and shakes them back and forth. He also loves to be held. Paddy is so affectionate, staff says he is cute and very cuddly; he likes to snuggle and he loves his Chewies and carrots. Paddy is very good with other dogs and is not a barker. He was abandoned with his female Dachshund companion and his son Shaggy. He rides well in the car and does okay on leash although he sometimes refuses to walk. He seems to be house-trained but will need reinforcement. He loves people; his son Shaggy is bonded to dad but dad isn’t and says it is time to spread your wings. When he sees his person he hops up and down and is excited to see you and will smoother you in kisses. He will need regular professional grooming and could use one now. We feel a more mature home but one that is also active as he loves to play. Paddy will be a wonderful companion that enjoys a cuddly, laid back dog.

He is a little shy at first, he likes children, is good with other dogs. He is a little reserved as some Dachshunds are and would not be considered a non-shedding dog. Rides well in the car and likes to go for walks, he is also house-trained. Is learning to play with other dogs and is a laid back boy. Shaggy needs a home with a dog that isn’t too dominate as his father often overwhelms him. He likes to be held and is affectionate when he gets to know you. He is adorable and is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle. He will be a wonderful companion.

Cheri

Cheri

Beautiful Cheri is a precious Pekingese mix; she is about 2 years old, spayed, is current on her vaccinations and will be microchipped prior to adoption. Cheri weighs 11.14 pounds. This precious little dog was rescued at a mall, dirty, matted and dragging her leash. No one claimed her. She is very affectionate, prefers to be in a one-pet home, and doesn't like to eat next to another dog, easy fix for that. Cheri prefers to be inside and is crate-trained, she goes into a cat carrier with no problem and sleeps in a carrier with the door propped open. However if you like your dog in bed with you Cheri will accommodate you. Cheri would love a family that will dote on her, she likes men, women, older kids (prefer no small/young kids). She will bark if someone knocks on the front door or comes into the house and she can't see who it is so will be a great little alert dog. She is house-trained and will go potty outside. Cheri walks on a leash well; likes walking and rides well in the car. Great lap dog - she wants to sit on your lap, on the couch, and be petted. Easy to bathe. Cheri needs a gentle person/home who won't yell at her or make fast movements or run at her like children may. If you have cats that move around the house at night she will bark at them but won't bother them. Guess you could say she is a light sleeper. Cheri will be a wonderful little companion.
