Cody

New

Cody

Cody is an adorable rescued approximately 4 month old Terrier/Chihuahua mix; he currently weighs 8 pounds. He is current on his vaccinations and has been Frontlined and de-wormed. He will be neutered and microchipped before going to a family. Cody is house-trained and sleeps with the kids in the rescue family. He already knows the commands "Stay," "Down" and "Come." Cody is really playful and is a lap dog. He loves to chase his toys. He is slightly shy and is gentle and affectionate. He runs to his crate if he is scared or nervous. He loves to play with other dogs and kids. He responds well to re-direction and needs lots of toys to play with. He will be a good little companion. Lexie

Lexie

Lexie is a beautiful 4 and a half month old Pit mix puppy. She is current on her vaccinations and has been microchipped, de-wormed and Frontlined. She will soon be spayed. Lexie has normal puppy behavior; she is an exuberant puppy full of love who eagerly greets everyone with love and kisses. She is a strong girl and needs to be taught not to launch herself at people as that is a lot of puppy love. She is doing very well in a foster home with two large dogs and two small dogs. She is also being taught manners and is learning "Sit," "Stay," and "Come." She is very good with kids although the ones in the foster family are all over 10 years old. Foster mom says Lexie is settling in quite well! She has already picked up on what is meant by "go potty". She is a smart girl! She will need an active family willing to take her with them. She is doing very well in the house and is crate-trained. Lexie is enjoying her foster family very much; she has a yard to run and play in and a home to sleep inside, nice and cozy. She would do very well having something similar in her very own home. Lexie will be a wonderful companion. See Lexie in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6dQdFAW-1k. Zildjian

Zildjian

Zildjian is a handsome Pit Bull Terrier; he is around 2 years old, maybe a little less. He is current on his vaccinations and has been neutered; he will also be microchipped. He is house-trained but is kept outside most of the time. Zildjian would love to be inside the house with his family. He knows the commands "Sit," "Down" and "Come." He is a wonderful dog but does have food aggression. He likes children but doesn’t do well with cats; we don’t know about other dogs. He rides well in the car and walks on leash. An active home would be great for Zildjian. Photography compliments of Gluskins photo on the Miracle Mile in Stockton.

Ceasar
Adopted

Ceasar

Ceasar is a very sweet silver/fawn Pug. He has a beautiful color and a beautiful personality to match. He is almost 9 years old; his owner had to go into a convalescent home so Ceasar is now in need of a new home. He is great with other dogs, has the wonderful easy-going personality of the Pug, friendly with people, and just wants to be with someone. He is neutered and shots current.

Bunnie

Bunnie

Bunnie is very sweet and very cute. She is a little cuddle bug and just loves people. She is a 4 month old Jack Russell Terrier and she gets along with other dogs and also with cats. Her shots are current and she is spayed. We have also noticed that she appears to be deaf, so she is very quiet and not a barker, but loves to play with other dogs. She would probably do best in a home with another dog since she seems to be deaf and could take her cues from another dog. If not she would do best with someone home most of the time to just dote on her and give her lots of love.

Charlie

Charlie

Hello Charlie! This beautiful American Bulldog mix is big hearted and affectionate. Around 1 year old, he was found on the street very underweight but is bouncing right back and is very healthy and happy. These dogs are known to be loyal, reliable and make great family pets. You can find more information online about the breed. Charlie is not a barker, is house broken, trainable, and is learning new commands every day. Charlie is currently being trained at Sycamore Kennels and is doing wonderfully under their tutelage. He gets along with people and dogs but we recommend an active family with older children and no other dogs. He is neutered, shots current, is microchipped and plans to get all spruced up to meet a loving family that he can call his own.

Bourke

Bourke

Bourke is looking for a very special forever home. He came to Walnut Street in Stockton at the end of the summer, but no one knew from where. One story is that he lived on a derelict barge that floated in the canal for months until it was abandoned and removed. Another story is that he belonged to an older couple that died and the dog was abandoned. The only thing known for sure is that he found many new friends on Walnut Street where he played all day and guarded Walnut Street all night. He had his meals at several different homes and got to know most of the neighbors and their pets. He is a playful and intelligent "homeless survivor" that has touched our hearts. Bourke is shy and becoming socialized because of his experiences as a homeless dog. Bourke is an intelligent, 8 to 12 month old Terrier mix and he weighs 16 pounds. He is neutered, current on his shots and will be microchipped. Bourke has escaped many dangerous situations because he is able to squeeze through very small spaces. He needs a securely fenced yard and basic obedience training. He protected the neighborhood from strangers. He chases skateboards or bicycles. We assume that he started life in a family setting because he is responding to his foster family home. He wags his tail and is quick to make friends with small neighborhood dogs but has been known to chase cats. It is unknown if he is house broken; we hope to move him to a foster home where he can be inside soon or find a family to adopt him and make him a house dog. He loves toys, chew bones and rope pulls. Neighbors have spent hours enjoying his playful antics. He needs love, patience and a gentle hand.

Margie

Margie

Margie is an adorable possible Dachshund mix. She is 1 and a half years old and 12 pounds. Margie is in charge of the dogs in the house. She is not mean but she reminds her rescuer of Judge Judy! She is taller than the others and that makes her the queen. She loves her treats! She is housebroken and uses a doggie door. She and her foster sisters chase and chase and chase each other then they crash in a heap and sleep together! She is spayed, and will be current on her vaccinations and microchipped. Margie will be a wonderful companion.
